Defender Oliver Lauridsen, who was injured in the match against the USA, is also leaving the WC in Tampere, Finland. In his case, according to SVT, it is an injury to the groin.
Denmark and Sweden have played five matches each. Denmark has won three and sits in fifth place. They are fighting with Germany for the fourth and final play-off spot.
Sweden has won all matches and is in second place in Group A, which is topped by the USA. Drop-off between Sweden and Denmark takes place at 15.20 on Monday.
