Ibrahim Sadiq away spring out | Allsvenskan

Sadiq has had problems with his back during the spring, but recently came back and has been very successful. Two goals against Degerfors were followed up by two goals in the cup final victory against Mjällby on Thursday, but then the nimble winger was forced out with a similar injury.

– The back again unfortunately, much like last time but in a slightly different place. There are only three weeks left of the spring season and it is natural to think that he will be ready when we start again, says Per-Mathias Högmo, who has plenty of talented wingers in the squad.

Primarily, it is about the giant talents Oscar Uddenäs, 20, and Momodou Sonko, 18., who can replace Sadiq from the start.

– Oscar has come in and delivered goals and assists and “Momo” has also done that, the Norwegian continues.

Sonko from Gothenburg has had an explosive development since the victory in the Gothia Cup last summer. He signed an A-team contract, scored three goals in seven cup games and recently splashed in a powerful left-footed goal against Degerfors.

– He has top quality in one on one offensively, he is a good finisher and has good speed. Since then, he has developed his defensive with aggressiveness and power. An exciting player for whom things have gone fast. He has had a small injury but is fully back now, says Högmo.

“This is our chance”

For Sonko, Malmö FF will be away on Sunday afternoon in the biggest match of his career so far.

– I am very happy that I can keep up. A summit and for my own part it feels very good. I have taken the chances I have been given, he says.

Malmö FF has started the Allsvenskan with eight straight victories, BK Häcken is third in the table with six wins and two losses.

– If anyone is going to put an end to them, I think it’s us, this is our chance. We have found gaps in them and will use them as much as possible, says Momodou Sonko.

BK Häcken thus gets back key player Simon Gustafson, who missed large parts of the spring. The central midfielder did not play against Mjällby in the cup final, but can now go full force.

– It is very positive, he is a fantastic player, says Högmo.

How to stop Malmö FF?

– Our best chance is to be BK Häcken. We have scored ten goals in the last two games, our counterplay is getting better and better and it suits Malmö FF very well. We know that we will get a counterattack and we must take advantage of that, says Per-Mathias Högmo.
