Färjestad is finalizing negotiations with Czech WC forward David Tomasek
Färjestad has had a somewhat unlucky silly season. Homemason Gustav Rydahl chose to go to Frölunda and sign a long-term contract.
Remi Elie chose to reject a continuation in order to sign a more favorable agreement with Linköping.
But now Rickard Wallin has got a pacifier – in the Czech Republic.
27-year-old center David Tomasek, currently playing at the World Cup for the Czech Republic, is in final negotiations with the club.
If nothing unforeseen happens, he will also be ready shortly. There are some details to be worked out. Among other things, his contract in Sparta Prague, but according to Expressen’s information, it looks like they are prepared to let him go.
Have to leave after chaos in the club
In Sparta Prague, there is more or less chaos.
The club finished third in the regular season, but went straight out in the quarter-finals against sixth-placed Trinec (who later won the title). It caused the owner to go through the roof and the entire business has been put on hold. No coach is ready for next season and the players have demanded an announcement, which has not come. In addition, sports director Jaroslav Hlinka is hanging loose.
David Tomasek has been on the market for the Swedish sports managers for a while, and it is Färjestad that now looks to be winning the battle for his signature.
According to sources for Expressen, a signature can already take place in the coming days. If nothing unforeseen happens, such as a U-turn in Prague, David Tomasek will be a Färjestads player in the 23/24 season.
Färjestad’s sporting director Rickard Wallin has been contacted for comment, without success.
