Team Vitality wins Blast Paris Major in CSGO

0

Isak “Isak” Fahlén, 21, and his Gamerlegion had sensationally made it to the last Major Final in CS:GO. On the other side was the French home hope Team Vitality when the final was played in the Accor arena on Sunday.

Vitality opened strong on the initial Overpass and had a big lead after their defense side. Gamerlegion had a hard time getting into the map and looked shaky. It was the French team that was able to secure Overpass with the numbers 16–6.

On Nuke, the Romanian Gamerlegion player Ivan “IM” Mihai played big. After the first 15 rounds, he had a whopping 23 eliminations, and the team a five-round lead. Isak, on the other hand, had a heavy map.

Dupreeh historical champion

On its CT side, Vitality started to close again, bringing in the underdog. The French team was also able to complete the turnaround – and won 16–13.

They thus win the very last Major tournament in CS:GO.

– I don’t know how to describe it, I feel such joy. I know I’ve been criticized as a team captain, but now I’m the Major Master, so go to hell! says a taken Dan “Apex” Madesclaire to Blast Premier.

Dane Peter “Dupreeh” Rasmussen, 30, is now the first player ever to win five Counter-Strike: Global Offensive world championships.

He is also the only player to have played in every Major in the game’s eleven-year history. Also the coach Danny “Zonic” Sørensen has now won five titles.
