Vinicius was celebrated when Real Madrid won against Rayo Vallecano

Vinicius Junior continues to be at the center of events.

So also in the home match against Rayo Vallecano – where he was celebrated both from the stands and from below the pitch.

The football world stands united behind Vinicius after the scandalous match, where the brass was subjected to racism from Valencia supporters.

When Real Madrid took on Rayo Vallecano, there were many tributes to the speedy winger.

Among other things, a tifo was seen with the text: “We are all Vinicius, now that’s enough”. In addition, all of the 22-year-old’s teammates wore jersey number 20 (the brass’ number) when they stepped out onto the Bernabéu turf.

And in the 20th minute of the match, the crowd followed up by giving the star a standing ovation.

Vini Junior himself was banned and was thus in the stands. From there, he saw his team win the match 2–1 after a late winner.

Late decisive

Real were in the driver’s seat for a long time in the match, since Karim Benzema gave the team the lead after just over half an hour.

But in the 84th minute, the visitors equalised. The goal was scored by former Real Madrid player Raul de Tomas.

The home side would have the final say, however, as Rodrygo stepped up and settled the proceedings with a distinctive finish in the 89th minute.

With the victory, Real Madrid has a temporary grip on second place in the league. They are currently two points ahead of local rivals Atlético Madrid, who play bottom team Espanyol later this evening.
